Community Spotlight
Inspiring Progress at Every Turn
The beachside community is truly a special place. Everywhere you look, you'll find remarkable people who help make this one of the most desirable places to live in America.
When I moved to the area, I knew I wanted to become involved in the community and find meaningful ways to give back. One opportunity came through the 55+ Club Satellite Beach, where I currently serve as the Fishing Group Coordinator.
The club provides mature adults with opportunities to connect, socialize, stay active, and build lasting friendships. After the passing of my uncle, who previously coordinated the fishing group, I volunteered to help reorganize and continue the program so it could remain a valuable resource for local residents.
I have personally seen how important it is to stay engaged with others as we get older. Strong social connections, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging can have a meaningful impact on overall well-being and quality of life. My goal is to help create an environment where people who enjoy fishing—and those who simply want to meet new people—feel welcomed, included, and encouraged to participate.
Whether you're an experienced angler or someone who simply enjoys spending time outdoors with good company, the fishing group offers a relaxed and friendly way to connect with others in our community.

Satellite Beach 55+ Club - Fishing Group
The Satellite Beach 55+ Club is a group of mature adults who get together for various activities to share in fun and fellowship.
I have the pleasure of serving that club as the Coordinator for the Fishing Group.

A special thanks to ZooKeeper Charters as well as Captain Richard. Richard maintains a beautiful boat and offers a really great opportunity for those of all ages and experience levels to get out on the water, learn a few things, and with a little luck catch some seriously fun fish.
Every step of the way Richard went above and beyond to ensure that our group's goals were taken into account so that we could all have the most enjoyable experience possible- And we did!

Helping Older Adults Stay Strong, Active, and Independent
Giving back to the community has always been important to me. One of the ways I am able to do that is through my fitness classes at the Wickham Park Senior Center, where I work with older adults who want to improve their health, maintain their independence, and continue living active, fulfilling lives. As a personal trainer, I believe fitness is about much more than exercise—it is about preserving the ability to do the things that matter most, whether that means spending time with family, enjoying hobbies, traveling, or simply moving through daily life with confidence.
This work is especially meaningful to me because I have personally witnessed the challenges that can come with aging, loss of independence, and social isolation. I have also seen the positive impact that physical activity, education, and community involvement can have on overall quality of life. My mission is to help people understand that they can achieve their goals and that they don't have to do it alone.
Through these classes, participants have the opportunity to improve strength, balance, mobility, and overall wellness in a welcoming and supportive environment. The goal is not simply to exercise, but to help individuals maintain their independence, increase their confidence, and continue participating in the activities they enjoy.
Being involved with the Wickham Park Senior Center is one way I can contribute to the community that has welcomed me so warmly, and it is a privilege to support older adults as they work toward healthier, more active, and more independent lives.
